Use of smart-phones on roads leads to death

Smart phones have become basic necessities in today's sophisticated society. People have started seeing as the gadget as icon for high style and statement. However, every day there is rise between pedestrian’s death that has been blamed to those persons that use their smart-phones while driving or crossing roads. According to the government of US, High Safety Association that in 2016 there were approximately 6,000 which was the highest record in last 20 years. One of the major factors is use of smart-phones by the users, which is the significant source of distraction for both drivers and for pedestrians. Other factors include all increasing driving, due to the improvement in economy, lower petrol prices and more walking for exercise and environmental causes.

 According to the research alcohol is blamed for 34% accidents of pedestrians and in the road crashes 15% of drivers are involved in fatal crashes as being intoxicated at the time.
 

As per researches cell phones are the major cause on road accidents as they are dangerously part of distraction. More teenagers and young adults are being injured as the result of distraction when they cross roads while using mobile phones it may include “texting, having conversation, or listening music, or using internet on roads” said by road safety manager.  The scientific literature of the dangers of driving is while sending a text message from a mobile phone, or texting while driving. When smart phones were introduced first, their usage limit was only to send and receive call, as technology developed, smart-phone usage increased day by day as to read and type text messages, surf the Internet and view videos. These activities increase the risk of an accident.  According to study drivers holding conversations on cell phones were 4 times more likely to miss the highway exit than those with passengers, talking with passengers showed no difference from one driver in the simulators.
